Working While Black: An African Taxi Driver in Galway

Working While Black: An African Taxi Driver in Galway

African Taxi Drivers are a part of the Galway workforce for nearly 20 years now. They experience racism at all levels of the job everyday.

You can read the conversation and view the event page here.

We gave a platform to a number of long established drivers to share their stories of being skipped at the rank, being harassed by customers and other taxi drivers. They also spoke of the institutional racism that is present in their dealings with relevant authorities.

This event was also written about in The Irish Times.
